We have been following the Valemount real estate market since January of 2006... prices have increased steadily since then and many of the best buys have already been claimed. As of the summer of 2008, there are a few individual lots inside the village for sale in the $60,000 range. (Larger parcels of land for sale are more prevalent.) House prices (particularly for mobile homes) have taken a bit of a jump.

For local news, here's the website for the Robson Valley Times. Take a look through the archives; we expect that the site should remain up for awhile. The "Times" ceased operation as of late July 2007, however, so if the link is no longer available at some point, that will be the reason why.

If you're looking for current news from a local perspective, check out the website for the The Valley Sentinel, the other newspaper in town. This site was recently relaunched after a change in ownership and is still expanding with new features and content.
